According to a study by Dr. Liza Lezzoni of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, arthritis and other joint problems, back problems, accidental falls, heart disease, motor vehicle accidents, and chronic lung disease are the primary causes behind adult mobility issues. It is becoming common practice among able-bodied passengers at the airport to fake a disability in order to fast track their way through the security check. They usually lie about having an illness that makes it difficult for them to stand in the line, request a wheelchair and some even go as far as faking a limp.
