Racer with Paralysis Breaks World Record with Jump

Tanner Godfrey was paralyzed from the sternum down in a motocross crash in 2007. After his accident doctors told him he would never walk again due to the severity of his injury. But since that time, Godfrey has taken steps and in order to continue to be active in motocross racing, he created a control system that allows him to operate off-road vehicles.

Kevin Lau's dreams of playing basketball were often discouraged when he was growing up, he was instead pushed to play sports that catered more to his disability. When Kevin was born his umbilical cord had cut off circulation to his left arm. As a result, his left arm ends with a mass of scar tissue just below the elbow. Despite his limitations, Kevin refused to give up his dream.
The Revised 2010 Edition of the ADA Requires Pools to have Accessible Lifts

Under the 2010 revised guidelines of the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act), a pool under 300 linear feet must provide one means of access (a sloped entry or a pool lift.) For larger pools, there must be two means of access (pool lift, sloped entry, pool stairs, transfer wall or transfer system.)
